On July 20th, Glasgow 6-piece, Flood of Red, will release their first ever single ‘A Place Before The End’ via Glasgow’s King Tuts Recordings…The first release from the band’s debut album ‘Leaving Everything Behind’ recorded in Baltimore, Maryland with producer Brian McTernan. Far from the band's primitive screamo styling’s, Flood Of Red have matured beyond their 21 years of age, recording an honest album reflecting on what life is like growing up in small towns in the central belt of Scotland. The record will be released in the UK exclusively through the band's own Dark City Records, initially direct-to-fan through the band’s own website.

After building a fan base through living on the road for the past few years playing literally hundred of shows and accumulating over 1,800,000 plays on MySpace to date; the band are excited to be giving something back to the fans that have shown such faith in them especially with a single through King Tuts Recordings, a label run from their home city and out of a venue that holds many good memories for the boys. In a lot of ways, the band feel as if their musical adolescence was spent in King Tuts, watching many of their favorite bands from all over the globe and then going on to sell out the venue as Flood of Red, after growing up in towns around Glasgow – Airdrie, Caldercruix and Dumbarton yet being multi-national with members having being born in as far stretches as South Africa, Canada and the USA.

Flood of Red have recently come off tours with Madina Lake and Enter Shikari and will launch the single on Sunday July 19th at King Tuts. The band will also partake in several major festivals this summer including Donnington’s Download Festival.

”...one of the most exciting young UK bands for a while… poised for big things” Metal Hammer

“With songs as sharp as their haircuts, Flood Of Red look set to do for Scotland what Funeral For A Friend and Lostprophets have done for the Welsh wing of the punk/post-hardcore scene.” – Kerrang
